I have done extensive research on this family and actually visited Cerne Abbas in May. Grace (COOMBS) STRANGE'S parents are my 7th Great-grandparents. Patrick Strange made the observations that Henry Strange (Captain Harry Strange) was a very famous Thames Sailing Barge master, said to be unsurpassed in his chosen profession. "Cock O' The Walk" was a large ketch rigged type of barge called a "Boomie", sadly sunk in the first war. There was also another very well known barge master called Captain Tom Strange, Captain Harry's brother. He guessed that Dick Strange, H. Strange and Jack Strange would all most certainly been relatives of Captain Harry and brother Tom. Any way if anyone is interested there is quite a lot about the brothers and their exploits in "Sailing Barges" by Frank G.G.Carr, (which is wonderful book in its own right).
